About - De Royal is a stroke of breeding genius, a beautiffully modelled dark chestnut whose pedigree is built on a foundation of success; no horse in this pedigree needs any introduction. De Royal has everything a grand prix horse needs, and although he is a young horse, he is a stallion to be very excited about. A tall, elegant horse with three excellent basic gaits including a fantastic canter, De Royal was a highlight of the 2018 Oldenburg licensing and was much-praised for his lightness, balance, power, and obvious potential for the upper echelons of the sport.
Sire - De Niro topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings in 2018 for the fourth successive year, cementing his place as one of the most influential dressage stallions in modern breeding. He has produced countless grand prix horses, winning medals at the highest levels, including Desperados FRH, a medal-winning member of the German team for many years, and has also produced Delgado (individual bronze, Aachen 2015), Super Nova II (team silver, Rio 2016), grand prix stallion Danone I and his full brothers Danone II (now deceased) and Der Designer, both winners at Inter II, Delatio, auction topper Don Deluxe, and a multitude of other successful horse for sport and breeding; more than 80 grand prix horses and 100 licensed sons.
Damline - De Royal's dam Rumirella is a daughter of the great Rumirell, who is out of one of German breeding's strongest performance dam lines linking directly back to the international eventing mare Rudilore II (aka Chica). With this mare, breeder Harli Seifert has established a hugely successful breeding programme. Rumirella is full-sister of the great breeding and grand prix stallion Rubin Royal OLD, who is third on the 2018 WBFSH rankings and has produced more than 20 grand prix horses including Rubin Al Asad, WG Rubins Nite, Rubincon, Real Dancer, Rubin Cortes OLD and Rosalie B. Rubin Royal is in turn full-brother of Glock's Romanov, Blue Hors Rockefeller, Rubin Action, Rumicello, and Rubino Vincento - five licensed full-brothers of which two are also competing at grand prix.
The wider damline has also produced the internationally esteemed jumper stallions like Gio Granno, Conterno Grande, Couleur Rubin and Couleur Rouge and dressage stallions like D-Day (damsire of Vitalis), Don Chico, and Trantris.
