About - Delorean is a super young stallion with a fantastic temperament and rideability combined with superior talent, making him an ideal choice for both professional and amateur riders and breeders. He has three balanced, rhythmic paces, all with an enormous quality of movement. The walk is ground covering, the canter is uphill, and the trot is always pushing from the hindquarters, through a relaxed, swinging back. His temperament sets him apart; he is an exceptionally people-friendly, affectionate stallion in the stable, very easy to handle, and under saddle he is always focused on his rider and willing to work.
Performance - He was awarded a premium at his Hanoverian licensing, and won the dressage section of his performance test with outstanding scores: a perfect 10.0 for the rideability and canter, 9.5 for the trot and temperament, and an 8.0 for the walk, for a final score of 9.15. He has made a good start to his ridden career by winning a qualifier for the Bundeschampionat in 2016 on a score of 8.4.
Sire - Dancier was champion of the 2004 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden and the 2005 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf; after his performance test, he sold for €330,000 to the state stud at Celle. As a young horse, he was reserve champion of the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships, and was third in the four-year-old Bundeschampionat final. In 2008 he was a finalist in the six-year-old Bundeschampionat, and is now successful at advanced level. Dancier's sire De Niro is top of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for 2016, and has enjoyed a phenomenal career in both sport and breeding; he has produced countless grand prix horses, winning medals at the highest levels. The De Niro/Weltmeyer cross, in the second generation of the pedigree, has also produced Delgado (individual bronze, Aachen 2015), Super Nova II (team silver, Rio 2016), and Danone I's full brothers Danone II (now deceased) and Der Designer, both winners at Inter II. Dancier's damsire Lancier is by the great Thoroughbred stallion Lauries Crusador, who won his own performance test with the highest marks in every section, including a 9 for rideability.
Damline - Delorean's dam Weltina has also produced a full brother, Danier, who is competing successfully under Finnish young rider champion Merita Kelo, and another licensed son by Don Frederico.
Progeny - DeLorean’s foals are modern, true to type, impressive movers with splendid conformation. He passes on his fantastic quality of movements and his superb temperament; all his foals are very human-friendly and breeders often remark on how easy they are to handle; a groom at Bonhomme mentioned to us that they are "always the first to come over, and you can always tell which ones are Delorean's".
