About - Don Schufro is a living legend, and these are some of the the very last doses available. An Olympic medal winner himself, Don Schufro has produced medal winners and international superstars in abundance, and is undoubtedly one of the most influential stallions in the world today.

Performance - Don Schufro has won multiple World Cup qualifiers, and achieved more than 30 victories and placings in Grand Prix at big shows such as Aachen, Bremen, Wiesbaden, Lingen, Neumünster and Nörten-Hardenberg, with scores over 79%. The highlight of his career was in 2008, when he became Danish Champion and won the Olympic bronze medal with the Danish team in Hong Kong under Andreas Helgstrand. In the individual ranking, they placed 11th.

Sire - Donnerhall appears in the pedigree of almost every top-level dressage horse competing today. Donnerhall won numerous international grands prix, including team golds at the 1994 & 1998 World Equestrian Games and the 1997 European Championships, and two individual bronze medals (1994 & 1997). Donnerhall ranked inside the top 10 of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for seven consecutive seasons (2008-2014). Donnerhall's offspring include Damon Hill, Donnerschlag, Donnersong, De Niro, Don Principe and Donnperignon.

Damline - Don Schufro's damline is just as impressive; his dam Fiesta is the grand-dam of and outstanding 11 licensed sons - grand prix stallion Classico, plus Sunny-Boy, Ron Rubin, Sidney, Vito Corleone, Peron, Floris, Red Rebel, Zatchmo, Rudisha, Zirrus, and up-and-coming grand prix campaigner, Veneziano - and further grand prix horses in Cafe Au Lait and Ferrera. Fiesta's full-sister Fantasia is the dam of grand prix stallion Don Primero, a blood-brother of Don Schufro, and other international horses from this line include Aldate, Rio Negro, Sir Oliver, Sandro's Success, Lord Leopold, Topas, Salutation, Sampras, and many more, among them the 1.60m jumping Cornet 39.

Progeny - Don Schufro's offspring have been nothing short of sensational; he is the father of more than 40 international grand prix horses, and led the German breeding rankings on 10 occasions. His most famous daughter is Weihegold; Olympic team gold and individual silver medal winner, triple European Champion, winner of the World Cup Final in Omaha 2017 and Paris 2018, and number 1 on the World Ranking.

Among his other offspring are Diamond Hit, Athene B, Bocelli, Don Romantic, Don Havidoff, Don Romanov, De Angelo, Don Caruso, Dannebrog, and British-bred star Don Caledonia.

He is no less successful as a damsire; many fantastic stallions and international horses including Global Player, Total Hope, St Schufro, Zee Me Blue, Elholms Bonito, and triple World Champion Sezuan are all from Don Schufro mothers, to name but a few.

Don Schufro is 12th on the WBFSH Sire Rankings for 2018, and was inside the top 10 in 2016 and 2017. His offspring have good temperaments, strength, rideability, and power.
