About - Luidam was a grand prix-winning stallion who earned the HSI5* rating due to his own stellar career and the performances of his offspring. He descends from an exceptionally strong pedigree. Luidam passes on an easy temperament and good conformation and type, with a long neck and strong legs. His offspring are athletic and move well, with very balanced canters. He adds scope and mental toughness, as well as willingness and a particularly good jumping technique behind.

Performance - Billy Twomey described Luidam as 'one of the best horses I have ever ridden', and his wins include the Dublin, Aachen, and St Gallen Nations Cups, and the Samsung Super League Grand Prix. He was 5th at the 2003 European Championships and 6th at the 2006 World Equestrian Games, and was shortlisted for the 2004 Olympic Games.

Sire - Guidam is a son of the legendary Quidam de Revel, and was internationally successful with Eric van der Vleuten. He has produced many championship offspring, including Ninja la Silla (2008 Olympic silver and 2011 European Championships gold), Authentic (2008 Olympic bronze), and Ludger Beerbaum's superstar, Zinedine. In 1996 Guidam was named Stallion of the Year by the KWPN, and carries the title of keur.

Damline - Luidam’s dam, Eljenohve, was awarded the title of preferent by the KWPN, and from this dam line descend Orsini (international eventing winner), Watermill Scandic, and Ludger Beerbaum’s Chaman, one of the world’s most successful show jumpers.

Progeny - Luidam's offspring are successful in both breeding and sport. He has produced several grand prix jumpers including Simon, VDL Groep Amelie, Luibanta, and Ashdale Luxara. His son Candy de Nantuel received an historic 19/20 at his licensing, and won the Selle Francais Stallion Masters early in 2017. In his first season at stud, Candy was the fourth most used stallion in France.
