Information

About - Be Proud carries the unmistakable presence of a truly exceptional stallion, exuding confidence and natural authority. His high-quality basic gaits, combined with powerful and expressive hind-leg engagement, mark him as a standout prospect for both sport and breeding. He made a strong impression at the pre-selection for the main licensing in Herning, attracting considerable interest from experts.

Sire - His sire, Be Sure, is now trained by Isabell Werth after a standout debut S-level season under Leonie Richter, where he won four of five starts (over 80%) and reached the final of the Nürnberger Burgpokal. At six, he won the Dressurpferde-Bundeschampionat with Eva Möller, having already dominated the Hannoveraner Championat, while at five he placed eleventh in the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses final in Ermelo (over 80%) under Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard. A premium stallion in Hanover and Denmark, he was named Danish Champion of four-year-olds in 2022 and now sends a record number of sons to the Herning licensing, including Brando de Fontaine and Balvenie VH.

Damline - Be Proud’s dam, Strandagergaards Selma, produced the Danish premium stallion Strandagergaards McCloud in 2025, by My Vitality. He was sold at licensing to Helgstrand Dressage. The damsire, Sezuan, rose to 16th place in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires—remarkably as one of the youngest stallions. He owes this success to his outstanding progeny, including Olympic team gold medalist, European champion, and individual bronze medalist Wendy de Fontaine, ridden by Isabell Werth. Through his licensed sons, he has also recently established his own influential stallion line.
