About - The international show jumping stallion Carambole is a properly built, modern and yet robust Holsteiner stallion. This Cassini I son has a great passion for work and always gives his best, demonstrated by his great international success. This athletic stallion has produced a collection of attractive foals and a huge amount of offspring are jumping up to Grand Prix.
Performance - In 2008 after a very good KWPN performance test in Ermelo he was champion of that year. He received an 8.5 for canter, 9 for reflexes, a 9.5 for technique, a 8.5 for scope, a 8.5 for rideability and 9 for talent as a showjumper. Carambole also passed the 70-day test in Germany with high marks. He received three 10’s, for scope, technique and talent. For jumping a course he scored an 8.5. International results with Willem Greve, Winner Grand Prix CSI3* in 2015, Drachten Winner Grand Prix CSI4*Jumping Amsterdam, 11th prize NK Mierlo 13th prize European Championships Herning.
Sire - Cassini I, and his full brother Cassini II, are among the most influential sons of the great Capitol I. Cassini I jumped to international grand prix under Franke Sloothaak, and he has sired more than 150 grand prix horses including Cheers Cassini, Cumano, Berlin, Caressini L, Carambole, Quite Cassini, Cassionato, and Ci Ci Senjor ASK. Cabrio is line-bred to Capitol, who is one of the only foundation Holstein stallions free of Cor de la Bryere and Landgraf I blood. Capitol's offspring include Carthago Z, Cento, and Cardento, and his dam produced an outstanding six licensed sons (Capitol I, I and III, Latus I and II, and Cellebrio), with her daughters continuing her legacy by producing several licensed sons and international horses.
Damline - His grandmother is a full sister to the successful show jumper Shirley (Alois Pollmann Schweckhorst). Both mother Havana VI and grandmother Normandy XV were tested in Holstein with high marks. Breedingwise it is very interesting that Carambole has a half blood grandmother.
Progeny - Carambole not only has a number of approved sons but also several offspring competing in show jumping at 1.60m level. Not to mention, his son Galileo Nieuwmoed by Harcos just recently won a CCI4*-S and ranked fourth in a CCI5*-L in 2022.
