About - Colorado is a strong type who demonstrates great power and flexibility coupled with a good instinct and caution over the fence. 

Sire - His sire Casallco is one of the most important sons of his famous Holstein sire Casall in terms of breeding. After starting his career as OS reserve winner and Ib main premium winner, Casallco matured into an international top horse under the saddle of Philip Rüping. The pair won the silver medal at the German Championships and a Grand Prix in Opglabbeek, among other accolades, and in the Nations Cup in Drammen they completed two clear rounds for the German team. In breeding, Casallco has produced twelve licensed sons to date, with the now 1.50m successful OS licensing winner Cavoiro H-OLD coming from his very first crop. In sport, a whole host of talented children are paying tribute to their sire. At the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken in 2023, his daughter Casanina OLD won silver in the seven-year-old final, while his son Casacajall took gold in the six-year-old class.

Damline - On his dam's side, Colorado goes back to the world-famous Thiedemann line (Holsteiner line 2543). He is a direct offspring of the foundation mare Optik by Fanatiker. His first dam Nelda S is a daughter of the stallion Numero Uno, who won up to 1.50 m under Marco Kutscher and is himself a son of the World Cup final winner Libero H (Jos Lansink) and produced many 5* show jumpers such as Uno de la Roque, Cristello and Van Gogh. The second dam Candaletta celebrated successes up to 1.40 jumping level. Her sire Cantus was one of the most influential stallions of his time. World-class show jumpers such as Calvaro (Willi Melliger) and Come On (Ralf Schneider) were sired by him. The following generations include the stallions Lantaan, Sherry Netherland xx, Roman and Fanatiker, based on the 2543 line, which produced such outstanding 1.60m show jumpers as the licensed stallion Lux (Jerry Smit), Loreana (Lars Nieberg) and Cassina Dior (Phillip Steiner).
