About - Emilio is an interesting young stallion, and an exciting addition to the Blue Hors roster for 2017. He offers breeders an opportunity to add new and exciting blood to their breeding programme. He contains no Donnerhall, Jazz, Flemmingh or Rubinstein blood, and his damsire Lauries Crusador makes him an excellent choice for mares needing refinement.
Performance - Emilio was awarded a premium at the Westphalian licensing in 2016, and has since been licensed for Oldenburg. Emilio is incredibly cooperative and trainable and he wants to show off but always remains easy to work with.
Sire - Escolar, with his fantastic gaits and high rideability, drew attention to himself at a very young age by winning the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf both as a 3-year-old and as a 4-year-old. He was in a class of his own, gaining top marks of 10 for both trot and canter. Escolar, by Escobar NRW, represents the very valuable E line that has produced top horses in the Westphalia region for many generations. The E line guarantees rideable, sound horses that are able to meet the requirements for a modern day riding horse. In 2016, Escolar qualified for the final of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal and was runner-up in Intermediaire I at CDIO Aachen under Hubertus Schmidt.
Damline - In 2010, Emilio's dam La Fraviatawas named as best half-bred mare at the Herwert von der Decken-Schau, in connection with the World Young Horse Championships in Verden. The thoroughbred stallion Lauries Crusador has had a great influence on warmblood breeding for many years. With almost 50 licensed stallions, more than 120 elite mares and a large number of competition horses of the highest calibre, this amazing English thoroughbred stallion has left a huge stamp as a producer of dressage horses.
Grand-dam Helena, by the Trakehner stallion Hohenstein, is also the mother of the Celle stallion Retoucher (by Rotspon). From this damline descend twelve licensed stallions including Coconut Dream, Don’s Beau, and Razzini. This also includes several advanced horses such as Sancerre, Woody Allen, High Stones Beauty, Rodina W and Maizauber.
