Sire - Springsteen’s sire jumped at the very highest level and was among the greatest jumping talents of his generation. At the age of 9, the Kannan son jumped spectacularly at the European Championships in Windsor ridden by Estonia’s Rein Pill. Later on, the grandson of top mare Fragance de Chalus finished 7th in the Zangersheide Sires of the World and 5th in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Moorsele and was purchased by Athina Onassis. As a breeding stallion, A Big Boy seems very interesting as a son of top sire Kannan and grandson of Fragance de Chalus – dam to foundation sires Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze. His first offspring, born in Estonia, is already breaking through at international level.

Dam - The damline of Springsteen has proved to be successful over and over again. Dam Cerena II Z is a daughter of world-class jumper Comme Il Faut – one of the world’s leading sport stallions ridden by Marcus Ehning - and was bred out of the successful Carthago daughter Cartharena Z. Combined with Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN, Catharena Z produced the AES-approved Eldorenus Z, who jumps at international 1.45m level ridden by Poland’s Pawel Kalicinski. Catharena Z is also dam of the Zangersheide approved Quick Cerenus Z. NN’s great-granddam Pavillio Z jumped at 1.30m level herself and produced several successful show-jumpers, including the 1.40m jumpers Darena MB and Cirena II Z. Pavilio Z is also the granddam of Wiljan Laarakkers’ Grand Prix show-jumper Nereno Z and the Mecklenburg approved Vagillio MB Z. Pavillio Z’s dam Haleska jumped 1.40m, gave birth to the 1.60m show-jumper Kevin ridden by Italy’s Caroline Gasser and is a half-sister of the Grand Prix show-jumper Audi’s Mr. Itt.
