Information

About - Upsilon is one of few stallions to make it to the top in eventing. He is an athletic, attractive stallion with the blood and movement to suit any eventing breeding programme.

Performance - After winning his first two international starts, Upsilon was fifth at the World Young Horse Championships as a six-year-old. He followed this by winning his next two international competitions, and then took the reserve World Champion title as a seven-year-old. He stepped up to 3* with ease in 2016, winning at Belton and Blenheim and placing second at Gatcombe and Saumur. In 20the 17 and 2018 he enjoyed back-to-back wins in the CIC3* and also won CCI2* and Hougton and the CIC3* Nations Cup class in Millstreet.

Sire - Canturo was the last licensed son of the great Cantus I. As a five- and six-year old, Canturo competed in the Bundeschampionate finals. Aged seven he reached the finals at the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken. At eight, he won and was placed internationally at Wien, Rome, La Baule and the Swedish Derby of Falsterbo. As a nine-year-old, Canturo won in Spruce Meadows and was nominated for the Olympic Games, and in 2005 he was the winner of the prestigious Aachen grand prix.

Damline - Upsilon's maternal half-brother Trouble Fete also events at CCI3* level, with top-10 placings at Houghton, Le Pouget, Saumur, Jardy, and Bramham. The grand-dam Garce D'Aulix is a maternal half-sister to the brilliant international grand prix jumper, Triple Espoir III, and the international jumper Milord D'Aulix is also descended from this mother line.

Progeny - Upsilon's limited availability has meant he has only a few offspring on the ground, but he already has a licensed son in Espri du Figuier and has been the stallion of choice for many top mares including Badminton winner Classic Moet.
