Details

About - Exceptional bloodlines, exceptional conformation and exceptional performance; with well-defined limbs and a perfect shape, Cabachon shows great potential in the ring, combined with plenty of scope and an excellent technique and bascule.

Performance - In both breeding and sport careers he embodies vivid internationality:; in 2009 he was placed 9th in the finals of the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken with Norwegian Stein Endresen. Further international success was achieved with Oleg Krasyuk, Ulrich Kirchhoff and Katharina Offel. In 2013, Cabachon was third in the Grand Prix of Rastede and in 2014, he continued his career successfully with the young Mathis Schwentker. In 2015, he was the winner of the 1.50m Grand Prix on the Baltica Spring Tour, and he has several top 10 placings at 1.45m-1.50m level.

Sire - At the age of 18, sire Casall ASK was still winning grands prix with Rolf-Goran Bengtsson, who has ridden him since 2005. As a six-year-old, he was third in the Bundeschampionat and Schleswig-Holstein Champion, but it is his international career that has been exceptional. He was the overall winner of the Longines Global Champions Tour (GCT) in 2016, winning not only the final in Doha but also the Paris and Valkensward legs. The previous season, he won the Rome and London GCT grands prix, and was third in the GCT rankings at the end of the season; throughout his career, he has won or finished on the podium in a GCT grand prix 22 times. He has won over €1.8 million on the Global Champion Tour alone. He was also 4th individually at both the 2014 World Equestrian Games and the 2013 European Championships, where he also won team bronze. His soundness and reliability have been remarkable - he has never missed a season in his 13-year career, and he was ranked fifth on the WBFSH Sire Rankings for 2017.

Damline - On the dam side are Concerto II and Joost, two most valuable stallions that have unfortunately only been used in a very limited capacity for Holstein breeding, a fact that adds an almost unique touch to the pedigree and makes it particularly desirable. From the damline descend importnat stallions such as Cheenook, Feldherr, Lavaletto, Linos, Rekord GL, Rhenus and Romantiker, as well as the internationally successful show jumpers B Once Z, C. Chap, Carino, Charmonie, and Classic H.

Progeny - In 2010, he was the most used show jumping stallion in Sweden. His oldest progeny are modern in type and clearly equipped with the show jumping qualities of their sire and they have given a first class sporting impression in Northern Europe. His sons Crusader Ice and Casall Sem have been licensed, and the oldest offspring are jumping at 1.45m level and above, with Constantin Z having already won at CSI3* 1.40m level in Italy.
