Details

About - Valverde is an exciting young stallion who at first glance is the image of his damsire Ampere. He has very powerful quarters, which together with a short, strong back present a very good hindeg with lots of forward thrust. and spring. His paces are very balanced and rideable, with all three gaits being good quality.

Performance - He was the champion stallion of the Westphalian licensing in 2016, and is already in demand as a breeding stallion.

Sire - Vitalis is a beautiful son of Vivaldi, and is currently winning at small tour level under Isabel Freese. Very modern and big moving, Vitalis has impressed the breeding world with his huge, elastic trot and relaxed, rhythmic canter. Vitalis was first reserve champion of the main NRW licensing in 2009, and dominated the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010 in Warendorf, From the very beginning, he notched up wins and placings in dressage classes, including at the Dutch stallion championships and at the World Young Horse Championships. As a five-year-old, he was sold to American rider Charlotte Jorst, and was placed with her in the finals of the World Young Horse Championships as a six-year-old, having already dominated the US championship in his age-group. With record marks of 10.0 for trot and 9.8 for canter, he was clearly ahead of the other competitors.

Damline - Ampere, bred in the Netherlands and with lots of Holstein genes in his pedigree, was the KWPN Champion Stallion in 2008. He won his stallion performance test with excellent scores of up to 9.5 for his canter and very good scores for all of his gaits, rideability and talent for dressage (9.0). Ampere sired 15 licensed sons in Germany alone among his first crops, and his foals have sold for very high prices in auctions across the globe; in 2013, 7 of the 30 foals selected for the Elite Swedish Auction were by Ampere. Ampere has now returned to the USA and is not available to UK breeders, so Valverde is an excellent opportunity to add Ampere blood into your breeding programme.
