Performance - He was internationally successful, under three riders; first with Danielle Torano for the USA, then Bernardo Alves Resende and the great Rodrigo Pessoa for Brazil. His international successes include victories and placements at the CHIO Aachen; the GCTs of Estoril, Chantilly, Monaco and Valkenswaard, the World Cup series in Europe and the USA. Particularly noteworthy are 3rd place at the Global Champions Tour 2007 in Wellington as well as successes at the World Cup Final in Gothenburg 2008 and the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky 2010.
Sire - Vancouver D'Auvray's sire Heartbreaker is rightly described as a living legend of jumping horse breeding. Heartbreaker was internationally successful under Grant Wilson and Peter Geerink. He was placed in the final of the Samsung Super League in Donaueschingen, the Grand Prix of Falsterbo, Geesteren, Hamburg and Aachen during his stellar career. As a sire Heartbreaker belongs among the best, with more than 150 international 1.60m grand prix jumpers to his name.
Damline - Vancouver's mother Nikita, a daughter of the 1.50m jumper Jokinal de Bornival, produced three further 1.60m jumpers; the Apache du Forest son Rouen, and Vancouver's better-known full brother, Toulon, and their full sister, Quina. Toulon has made a name for himself as a sire with numerous internationally successful offspring, national champions and licensed stallions. The wider damline has produced the 1.60m jumpers Gaverdi Z, Bambino, Haldor and Cortes van de Heffinck, and many successful horses at 1.50m.
Vancouver D'Auvray's dam's sire, Jokinal de Bornival, by Almé Z, was internationally successful in addition to being a stallion under Ludo Phillipaerts. He has victories and top rankings including the Grand Prix of Oslo, Paris, Lanaken, Aachen and Amsterdam.
Progeny - From his earliest crops, Vancouver has already produced the 1.60m grand prix jumpers Copain van't ET, Dallas ter Elzen, French Coffee, and Georgie D'Auvray, and CCI2* eventer Delaia. He has been named 'Elite' by the BWP for his outstanding contribution to both sport and breeding.
